CHEN Biting aged 61, has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shenhua Group. Mr. Chen is also Chairman of the Board of Directors and an Executive Director of China Shenhua Energy Company Limited. Previously, Mr. Chen served as President of Shenhua Group. He was also Vice Secretary General of the No. 4 Standing Committee of the Chinese Electricity Council. Prior to joining Shenhua Group in November 2000, Mr. Chen served as Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, Director General of the Economic Planning Commission of Jiangsu Province, Vice Secretary General of Jiangsu Provincial Government, Deputy Director General of the Economic Planning Commission of Jiangsu Province and Executive Vice Mayor of Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. Mr. Chen has over 30 years of experience in macroeconomic and enterprise management. He graduated from University of Science and Technology of China in 1970.
	ZHANG Xiwu aged 48, has served as Persident and Director of Shenhua Group since 2004. Previously, he served as a Vice President of Shenhua Group, Chairman and General Manager of Shenhua Shendong Coal Company, Chairman of Shenhua Dongsheng Coal Company, General Manager of the Fine Coal Business Department of Shenhua Group. Prior to joining Shenhua Group in August 1995, Mr. Zhang was Deputy Chief of the Bureau of Coal Industry of Jilin Province and Deputy General Manager of the Northeast Inner Mongolia Coal Group Company. Dr. Zhang has in-depth industry knowledge of, and over 20 years of operational and management experience in the coal industry in China. He graduated from Jixi College of Technology in 1988, and he obtained a master’s degree and a Ph.D. degree from Liaoning University of Engineering and Technology in 1997 and 2003, respectively.
	XU Zufa aged 58, has served as Director and Head of Supervisory Committee of Shenhua Group. Prior to joining Shenhua Group in July 2002, Mr. Xu served as Deputy Director and a Director-level Supervisor of Organization Department of CPC Central Committee. Mr. Xu has extensive human resources management experience. He graduated from the Central Communist Party School with a bachelor’s degree in 1993.
	Liu Benren aged 66, has served as Independent Director. Previously he served as General Manager of Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation, Director of Production Department of Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation, and Vce Chief Engineer of Wuhan Iron & Steel Corporation. Mr. Liu graduated from Wuhan Iron and Steel Academy with a bachelor’s degree, and graduated from Party School of the Central Committee of CPC with a master's degree.
	Zhang Hongli aged 42, has served as Independent Director. He has served as President of Asian-pacific Region and Chairman of Deutsche Bank (China). Previously he served as President of Greater China of Deutsche Bank, Executive Director of Goldman Sachs (Asia), Director and Business Manager of Schroders Private Limited Company (Hongkong), Financial Manager of Hewlett-Packard, Foreign Secretary of HLJ August First Land Reclamation University. Mr. Zhang graduated from HLJ August First Land Reclamation University with a bachelor’s degree in genetics in 1981, graduated from University of Alberta with a master’s degree in biological science in 1989, and graduated from University of Santa Clara with a MBA degree in 1991.
	Zhou Deqiang aged 66, has served as Independent Director. Previously he served as General Manager of China Telecom, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Information Industry, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, and Director of Anhui Telecommunication Administration. He graduated from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications with a bachelor's degree in telecommunication engineering.
	Xie Songlin aged 65, has served as Independent Director. Previously he served as Vice General Manager of State Grid, Chief Economist of State Grid, Director of General Office of Ministry of Electricity, Vice Director of Huazhong Power Administration Bureau, Vice Director of Audit Office of Ministry of Energy, and Vice Director of Power and Industry Bureau of Hunan Province.
	Chen Shende Aged 53, has served as Independent Director. Mr. Chen is now General Manager of Asia Financial Holdings Pte Ltd. Previously he served as General Manager of China Trust Group and Director of Citi Bank Taiwan Region. He graduated from National Chengchi University with a bachelor’s degree in 1977, and graduated from University of Missouri with a master's degree in corporate governance in 1980.
	Gao Ruibin ages 47, has served as Independent Director. He is now President of Motorola China. Previously he worked at AT&T Bell Laboratory, and he started his career in Motorola in 2000. Mr. Gao graduated from Tamkang University with a bachelor's degree in computer science, graduated from University of Delaware with a master's degree in computer and information science, and graduated from Hongkong Polytechnic University with a doctor’s degree.
	Shu Geping aged 46, has served as Employee's Director. Mr. Shu is also Chief Engineer of Shenhua CTL Research Center. Previously he served as Technician of CTL Department of Shenhua Group, Vice Director of Beijing CTL Center of China Coal Research Center. He graduated from Hangzhou University with a bachelor's Degree and from China Coal Research Center with a master's degree in coal chemicals.
