In order to realize the strategic goal of “Scientific development, reshape Shenhua, double the economic aggregate in five years,” Shenhua Group has been greatly developing its shipping business since 2010 and has founded Shenhuazhonghai Shipping Cooperation Limited by increasing capital investments and shares. The shipping corporation loads and unloads the coal of Shenhua using the specialized berths of the Group and can provide secure, high-quality, timely and high-efficiency marine coal shipping services for the power plants along the coastlines. By the end of 2010, the corporation has already had 11 self-operated cargo ships with a total shipping capacity of 492,000 tons and has had 30 cargo ships under construction with a total shipping capacity of about 1.4 million tons, which would be successively launched within two years. In 2010, the corporation completed a marine shipping volume of 50.5 million tons.
