We do utmost to create a harmonious
and healthy environment for our further development.
We will deal with all kinds of relations, focusing
on harmony within our industry, our Group, our
culture, and between local governments and related
entities, so as to achieve a sound and healthy
development.
Adhering to the guideline of CPC Shenhua Committee
of “focusing on major business and adjust accordingly”,
we carried out steady reforms on corporate structure,
institutional innovation and standardization.
At the request of the SASAC, we strengthened
construction of the Board, therefore further
improved the normative and scientific policymaking
procedure of our company. We put more efforts
on human resources to improve efficiency of
our employees.
We will improve remuneration, welfare and employment
management. Rationalize management structure
and clearly
define different responsibilities. We carried
out performance evaluation for our employees
at the headquarter in order to improve their
efficiency. We restructured our non-listed branches
and subsidiaries such as Golden China Science
& technical Development Company, Neotec
Science & technical Development Company,
and China National Electromechanical Export
and Investment Company in line with the principle
of focusing on our major business, rationalizing
the management system, and improving our profitability
and strengthened for further development. With
the approval of the State Council and assistance
of local government, we concentrated our force
and carefully carried out bankruptcy of three
coal mines in Baotou Coal Mining Company and
Wuda Coal Mining Company.
In order to punish and prevent corruption, we
established an internal control system featuring
education, institution and supervision. The
Trade Union successfully organized activities
to enhance quality of our employees, held competitions
on working skills as well as “Ankang Cup” competition,
and other interesting activities. By doing this
we wake up our employee’s activeness and creativeness.
Corporate culture strengthened: By in-depth
research and analysis, we compiled Shenhua Group’s
Corporate Culture, Shenhua Corporate Visual
Identity System and Guidelines to Construction
of Shenhua Corporate Culture, therefore laying
a solid foundation for our future cultural cultivation.
Social responsibilities: We attached great importance
to the vulnerable group and our employees living
under poverty line. In 2006, we allocated financial
assistance of over RMB 50 million to help them.
We paid attention to the balance between our
development and natural, local and social development.
We allocated over RMB 500 million to support
social welfares, local development, and environment
protection. Our 7 emergency teams provided assistance
to surrounding coal mines and communities for
125 times, avoided an economic loss of over
RMB 20 million.
